With the multitude of responsibilities associated with raising a baby, toddler or child, parents often find it difficult to keep track of important information such as vaccinations - either already administered or those to come.
Prevnar® and Ann Douglas present this free and easy interactive tool for parents to keep an online record of their child's immunization history.
You have the option of signing up for e-mail alerts to be sent to your preferred e-mail address two weeks prior to your child's next scheduled vaccination.
An optional follow-up e-mail can be sent to you after your child's scheduled vaccination appointment for easy updating of his or hers immunization record.
The tracker tool also explains each vaccination in detail so you know why it's important for your child to receive it. While this information provides you with a reference, if you have any concerns or questions, please consult your child's doctor or nurse.
High-Risk Groups
The Immunization Tracker Tool is not designed for children in high-risk groups, including those with:
- sickle cell anemia
- no spleen or a malfunctioning spleen
- immuno-suppression related to disease (HIV, lymphoma, Hodgkin's, multiple myeloma) or therapy (e.g. high dose or prolonged use of systemic steroids)
- cancer
- cystic fibrosis
- chronic disease (e.g. diabetes, cardiac, cardio-respiratory, cirrohsis, hepatitis B, hepatitis C)
- chronic renal insufficiency or nephrotic syndrome
- stem-cell or organ transplants
If your child is in the high-risk group, contact his/her doctor or nurse for the appropriate immunization schedule.
